Sarah Lacy (quem??) é uma colunista do famoso site de Tecnologia TechCrunch, e havia planejado uma viagem ao “Brazil” para conhecer os empreendedores e empreendimentos Internéticos em nossa Pindorama. Ela só esqueceu um detalhe, pedir o visto com a antecedência necessária.
Achando-se uma “estrela”, merecedora de tratamento diferenciado pelo governo brasileiro, resolveu tentar mascarar sua incompetência e falta de profissionalismo, em um post que sugere a incompetência do governo brasileiro em lhe dar um visto em um prazo razoável.
“You want foreign investment and attention, Brazil? Here’s an idea: LET PEOPLE ENTER THE DAMN COUNTRY. You want to show your IT prowess? How about outfitting your consulates with computer systems that work? Or maybe rolling it out slowly so other offices could handle the overflow. Or training people on it first. The country should be embarrassed, and its businesses should be furious.”
Foi o estopim de uma confusão dos diabos. Tomou mais de 600 comentários na cara, até agora, alguns indignados e desaforados, como todo bom brasileiro de sangue quente latino nas veias pode produzir, causando reflexos internos e, felizmente, de pares com a cabeça no lugar:
“Sarah, Sarah, Sarah – you may be one of the biggest names is Silicon Valley but you’re just another hack on the world scale, no more deserving of special treatment than any of the rest of us. If you really want to write a piece about the reality for web start-ups, then walk in the shoes of those same start-ups, not in those of your superstar friends… believe me, your writing would be better for some humility.”
Segundo ela, tentará vir em Dezembro ou Janeiro. Resta saber se haverá dignidade suficiente nos “empreendedores” do país para, simplesmente, não recebê-la.
